Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Well, Sam can stitch himself up. This is just...just a knife to the dick.
I am not awake enough to even consider this.
Dean, don't do it! Or, alternately, let Cas do it.
Hey, I forgot they wear gloves when breaking into the gallery in Provenance. Smart boys!

Another indie-dyer with yarns in SPN inspired colorways.
Clown Barf is AWESOME.
Rockstarpeach! IH8U!
Yeah, I'm having a lot of problems with that story. Mostly because she set up like a traditional romcom or romance, and she's not following the rules of the genre at all. Which is *my* problem, I know -- I'm just sort of trained to read something as a romance when it's set up that way.
Even then, she's playing it really loose with her own interpretations of these characters in the first place, so.
I assume you're reading a Dean/Castiel pairing by Rockstarpeach? I can tell you that I've read wincest by her that was..... unpleasant in its characterization. And I was dismayed by the number of people who seemed to feel it was OMG so hot!!11!!1!1!! in the comments. Because not only were they acting out of character, they were outright cruel to one another.
Well, to be honest, I'm mostly hurt that Castiel is hurt. Because it's been clear that a) Dean is fucking around and b) Cas is sleeping with someone else.
However, I totally think it's hot. And I'm okay with them not ending up together in the end. Cas has been telegraphing his aversion (coupled with desire, natch) since chapter one, so I figure it's a net win if he ends up coupled.
I think that's it -- she set it up like a meet-cute or a standard romance, but then she didn't follow through. For Dean to go that far out of his comfort zone with Cas on first sight like that, I'm expecting more than random hookups, and a weird fascination with Cas's awkward attempts at making himself more *known*, more individual, to Dean .
I also think it would have worked better for me if their initial connection hadn't been based on sexual attraction, and Cas's sort of too-teenaged crush, but on some kind of quirky friendship, which then led to the sexing, etc. .
I also think it could be hotter, but mostly I think she's doing a disservice to both characters. For me, Dean is way too oblivious and entitled, and Cas is caving like quicksand every other sentence.
