Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

Because books.

How creepy was it when Dean was standing watching Lisa sleep shortly after calling it out as a "rapey" thing to do. Which what?

I think that was on purpose. My favorite, though, was the outrage: "This is a national bestseller!" Bwah.

I think they did a good job of contrasting the girls' (or boys') romanticizing of the vamp aesthetic with the grittier (and bloodier) truth, too. The dream thing was stylistically a little weird (for SPN anyway) but very cool.

I also loved the shot of Dean sitting, head down, that pulls back slowly to reveal the head of the alpha under his boot.

I don't, however, ever want to see Dean with that mouthful of teeth again, though. I hate SPN's vampire teeth. So scary and icky.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's totally a Cas thing to do.

Oh, baby boy was badass and scary. Mnnf. The whole thing resonated with a fic I recently read that I won't name because it would be spoilery for it, but Julie knows the one.

I'm reading the Fight Club fusion, and it's interesting, but I didn't like Fight Club much, and I don't remember it well. So I'm adrift about the characterisation. I don't think that in a fusion the characters need to be 100% SPN (FUSION, people), but I can't work out what's accurate and what's sloppy.

I see the words I just cannot make sense of them. Tyler Durden remains one of my favorite all time movie characters and so wonderfully quotable. I am Jack's state of confusion!

Awesome shot, but I don't think that was the alpha. He's still out there building a vamp army.

I meant whoever turned him. That guy!

Right there with you.

That guy was great! I loved how fearless the actor was about invading Jensen's personal space. The tight shots creeped me out on a visceral level.

Well, I can cheerfully say I liked the fic better than the movie. Yes, I'm a heretic. And I've had a longtime hateon for Helena Bonham Carter and not particularly big on Ed Norton, so there you go.

I don't hate Julie Roberts or Tom Hanks, I am a heretic to many as well.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

It bothered me when Sampa said that Dean must have "some Campbell in him" after all, though. He's a WINCHESTER. Hi, irrational hot button.

I had just got done saying (in my down-home sherriff voice) "yep, looks like a Winchester was here."

I wasn't clear what actually happened there. Did he want to leave her a message and then changed his mind?

My first take was that he'd already left her several voice mails. But now that I think about it, Dean probably is ashamed at the idea of facing Ben again. I'm sure he has no idea what to say.

I still don't hate Julia Roberts, and I'm not sure why. Tom Hanks I can take in interviews (like on Conan and stuff), but I can't watch his movies anymore. New or old, really, unless we're going as far back as Bachelor Party.
