You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

It bothered me when Sampa said that Dean must have "some Campbell in him" after all, though. He's a WINCHESTER. Hi, irrational hot button.

I had just got done saying (in my down-home sherriff voice) "yep, looks like a Winchester was here."

I wasn't clear what actually happened there. Did he want to leave her a message and then changed his mind?

My first take was that he'd already left her several voice mails. But now that I think about it, Dean probably is ashamed at the idea of facing Ben again. I'm sure he has no idea what to say.

Because books.

I still don't hate Julia Roberts, and I'm not sure why. Tom Hanks I can take in interviews (like on Conan and stuff), but I can't watch his movies anymore. New or old, really, unless we're going as far back as Bachelor Party.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I keep thinking, well, I can take Tom Hanks in When Harry Met Sally, and then I realise why that's so easy.

I've been reading a lot of "Is Lisa a bad mom for letting Dean stay with them?" conversations over the past little while, but stuff's been pretty quiet since last night. Personally, I think she made a really dangerous move. Even if he didn't have evil stalking him, wasn't suffering from PTSD, wasn't an alcoholic--I don't know if I'd let a one night stand stay with me and my son, life-saving nonetheless. And we know Bobby's neighbour wouldn't do it.

I fall in the middle ground. I'd definitely do dinner and a caring shoulder.

Dean being Dean would make it tough choice.

Ben being Ben should help focus.

I mean, we know Dean, and we know he makes an excellent long-term nurturer and he'd die before letting anything happen to either of them, every time. As long as he's in control. He's also less likely than your average bear to be in control 24/7. And I don't mean dancing on a table whipping around silky panties out of control.

Tangential to crossdressing Dean (who doesn't play for Big Vamp's team (but then again, neither do I)), Sam seemed surprised that Dean snuck out. He wasn't taking any great precautions to prevent him from drinking human blood, thereby bollixing the great plan. Or did he think vamp!Dean would still be on his side?
