What? I'm not allowed to hit people? Wesley: Not people capable of genocide. Angel: Those are exactly the types of people I should be allowed to hit!

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

If you were Dean, wouldn't you hang onto a finger bone, just in case?

We don't know that he didn't.

The thing is... I always assumed that burning remains sent the unquiet spirit on to its final reward. In the case of people who sold their souls to demons, wouldn't that just mean they go back to Hell where they belong?

We don't know that he didn't.

Looks like he didn't get a chance.

It would be the smart thing to do, and the perfect gift for Bobby.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Hah! Sam and Dean in a tiny tiny car!

Wait a minute. If a demon is just a twisted spirit, and burning the bones destroys ghosts and spirits, when the boys burned John's body his spirit in hell should have been destroyed. So Alistair couldn't have tortured John for a century of hell time. That would have been about 10 months on earth, and they sure wouldn't have waited that long to put John's body on the pyre.

I suppose it could be that only souls that have become demons are decayed enough to actually be destroyed by the process. The Colt and Ruby's knife apparently do them in permanently, but we have no indication that they destroy normal restless spirits or the souls of possesion victims.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I AM SO CHEESED OFF THAT DEAN FLEW OFFSCREEN. Like, disproportionately bothered. OMG, all the fanfic handwringing about documentation and shit...and they just fly, like that when we weren't looking?

But I liked the episode--Bobby rocked, Rufus rocked harder, Crowley was fun, nice to see the sheriff back. Jensen did a decent job.

burning the bones destroys ghosts and spirits

We don't know that. Just that it releases them from our plane. When they burnt Tricia Helfer, for instance, the assumption was just that she went *somewhere*. They didn't know where. But it wasn't that she was destroyed.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

The Bobby and Rufus show was AWESOME.

Oh, Rufus. I think I love you bestest.

Also, Bobby totally needs to get with the Hot Sheriff Lady.

I totally did "appropriate mourning period" math in my head. I think she's good! Work it, Singer!
