Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What weirds me out is Dean says to Sam in AHBL1 "I've got you." So every time I see it in a sex scene, I think of Sam dying in Dean's arms, and well, that's probably not what the author intended.

And if it is, I think I'm in the wrong fic.

Who tweeted it, Perkins? A fan or an actor/showperson? If the former, very rude. If the latter, still annoying.

Because books.

Someone named lumi_nation, Perkins said, but I don't know who that is.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Somedays I'm just thankful I've yet to read a fanfic where Dean dyes his hair magenta, buys some Doc Martens, and takes up cutting himself. As thirtysomething blue-collar men are wont to do.

Well, Dean already wears the boots and lives a life of self-harm. So we're close.

Mostly the hair-dying puts me in mind of the Ten Inch Hero crossovers. The things people will do to get someone who looks like JP to sleep with someone who looks like JA.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

The girl!Dean crackfic that I had started, that started out funny and in character, quickly devolved into Dean putting on makeup and toenail polish and attempted date rape. It also involved too much of Dean walking around in bras and panties in front of Sam because hey, it wasn't his body, and giving Sam permission to beat off to fantasies of him.

It feels like more than half of the girl!Dean (not alwaysagirl!Dean) I read involves an attempted rape. I buy the bit where Dean feels he's still invincible even with the new body, but please! Why does being female have to translate so easily to sexual vulnerability and explicitly gender-oriented violence? Why can't he just get into a normal fight and get overwhelmed?

Or, say, win? Fighting would be different in a new body, but he can still use guns.

Then again, I did read an alwaysagirl!Dean/Cas where she gets pregnant by future!Cas, and it was just...oy.

and giving Sam permission to beat off to fantasies of him.

@@. Because that's what brothers have just been waiting to do, huh?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Thanks for the heads up, Perkins.

Do people actually go around giving each other permission to have orgasms like that? I mean, it's not even dirty talk.

I don't think it's the permission so much as the encouragement, the coaxing, that's supposed to be the tipping point? But that could just be my read.

That's how I've heard it. Can't say it's the sexiest thing that has been said to me in bed, but it's said.

Huh.

I suppose now that Sam dying in Dean's arms has ruined it for me, I will never know its magic.
