::licks Dean::
We All Fall Down (Ashes Ashes) was pretty melancholy sweet. Just the sort of non D/C DCBB story I like to see.
Coming Back To You was nothing special. Woobie Cas. Same with In the Night Light (We Still Shine Bright).
Still have to read Momentum.
And thus ends the mini bang. Decent proportion of fics I liked, and some really excellent art.
"I'm not quitting you"
This line was in a fic.
I laughed. I wasn't supposed to.
There's also a fic out there about Dean getting chubby. For serious.
Oh god,
this
is a
thing?!!
And, I don't mean that he happens to be chubby in it. I mean, the plot was about how he gained weight, his boyfriend makes him go to the doctor, and in the end they decide to just buy him bigger clothes. That's the plot.
Yeah, it's a thing. Including urging him to eat so he'll get fatter. I don't understand how some people's minds work, man.
Speaking of things, "I've got you, let go" is that common? Do people actually go around giving each other permission to have orgasms like that? I mean, it's not even dirty talk.
I buy it Dean to Castiel first time,
sometimes.
But because he's an inhuman virgin. The rest of the times, hello? Do other fandoms do this? Does life do this?
Yeah, it's a thing.
Are my priorities out of whack that I am more disturbed by this than Wincest?
When I was reading that fic, Julie, I was wondering if it was inspired by the horrendous obesity displayed by Jensen in those football pics (@@), and was at least relieved to see them not mentioned in the author's notes. And then she went on to be quite clear she was talking about a much heavier Dean. And then went on to have no plot. And then...I dunno. I don't get it. But incest will always bother me more than liking a particular natural body type, I think. When they start amputating limbs for sexual reasons I'll look again.
Do people actually go around giving each other permission to have orgasms like that? I mean, it's not even dirty talk.
This is pretty much the only fandom I've read extensively, so I'm not sure if it's elsewhere, but it comes up in romance, too. I'm not sure what it's about, actually, although I know I'm guilty of having written it (both in romance and in fic).
I don't think it's the permission so much as the encouragement, the coaxing, that's supposed to be the tipping point? But that could just be my read.
UGH. Someone on my twitter list just tweeted a casting spoiler for SPN S6ep1.
I was doing so well too.
