It's a BB story, just posted this morning or late last night, by clex-monkie. It didn't look like it would be all about the big gay brotherly love, so I was hoping I could read it with one eye shut.
Randomly, do people care what order pairings are written in? I realise I always write Dean/Castiel. I alway put the Winchester first (and Mary counts as a Campbell for these purposes). But I swear I've read people who order it by who tops or whatever. I just...I just think the Winchesters are the big deal.
And if I were writing out the pairing for Wincest, I guess I'd write Sam/Dean, just because it's Sam and Dean, not Dean and Sam.
I'll look.
It's always SamandDean, or Sam/Dean, or Sam and Dean. It just IS.
But yeah, if it's a Winchester with someone not a Winchester, it's Winchester first. It's their world. Everyone else is just along for the ride.
Thanks, Amy! I hope it's a good story, whether or not I end up reading it. She's supposed to be good, right? I'm not sure if I've read any of her stuff.
Did you see it in a comm? Because I don't see it on today or yesterday's newsletter. I'm actually scanning your friends page now.
Never mind -- I found it.
i'm way behind in this thread, but did we know about this? most especially...did Plei know about this? Jensen AND NPH?
Crackpot vidding notions: why is there not a Dean/Castiel vid set to "Just Like Heaven" by The Cure? Also, why is there not a Sam-centric vid to "You're The One" by Danzig?
ita, there's one section in particular that would have to be sort of excised or skipped, but other than that it's incest-free. Which ... strikes me as odd, to tell you the truth, the way it's handled.
I skimmed it only, and the bulk of the story is Mary and John. The ending is sort of interesting, but also sort of anticlimactic. I might go back and read more carefully, and if you want I could tell you what section to skip and pertinent info you would need from it, but it didn't strike me as a must-read right away.
tiggy, is that about The Red Hood?
it is, Amy. i was surprised to see that Jensen's been doing voice only work. i'm kind of intrigued.
ita - the wincest in that story isn't something you can really skip through. The first three chapters are John and Mary and Dean and Sam but the fourth has the boys as teenagers with both descriptive text and imbedded fairly graphic art - which is where I stopped reading.
...but I now see that Amy skipped to the end so maybe you can skip that chapter altogether and have it still make sense. The art kind of threw me out of the story..
I read Dictionary for a Dead Language last night, skimming swiftly past the Wincesty bits. It was beautifully written, and indeed well-worth the read. Thanks for the rec!
