going down on girls

How is that kink? I mean it would not make sense for gay men, but for anyone who has sex with women .... ?(Or do they mean "girls" as in too-young as opposed to going down on women?)

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

I usually figure that some of the REALLY out there requests are people who just come up with the wackiest/most out there/oddest thing they can think of, just to see if someone will write it.

(In the long run there's probably some of that, but less than I think.)

It's like the Star Trek kink meme. For some reason, it devolved into a string of requests (and fills) for Sulu/Chekov involved in watersports. Definitely not my kink. And all the better writers had taken their toys and gone home by the time it got to those, so I don't feel I missed anything. Even if it's a kink I'm not into, if the writer is sufficiently skilled enough to make it believable for the characters, I'll read it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm still a delicate flower. There's stuff that doesn't interest me, and there's stuff that out and out horrifies me, and I don't care how artistically it's written, I don't want it in my head. Even the prompts are too much.

Sometimes it makes me feel like a judgey person, but if I can't have my brain as a safe haven, where is?

I should add a caveat, if it's my favorite pairing I will consider reading almost anything. But, I have my own delicate floweriness and there are things I just won't read either.

One of the problems inherent in kink memes is that you are going to run across stuff that is triggery. I learned to skim quickly and was really happy when I found the delicious account for the kink meme so I could search just the tags that interested me. Having to wade through the kink meme comment by comment would have driven me insane. I don't know if the Supernatural kink meme has done the same thing, but it's one way to avoid the stuff that really raises your hackles.

I can't hack any incest fic. Fic with rape, and it doesn't even have to be explicit, I, just, no. Strangeandcharm has a pretty awesome fic, Melting Verse, I think, but I can't reread it. The other big one that makes me ill is slavery fic. And here I was with my naive self thinking that was as dark as it got. ::shudders::

In "Name", I adore the concept that Castiel spent 40 entire years looking for Dean in hell and the twist regarding the whole "Raised you from Perdition". That was devastatingly wonderful. I even started to finally figure it out, kind of at the same time that Dean was, which was actually really cool.

hmmm, I'm just finishing part 9. Does Dean become an angel and this is his creation story?

Oh, you don't know the half of it, Julie.

Also, great BAMF Cas in Named. I just wish...god, I wish it had resolved differently. I will read other stuff she's done.

Hmm. I wonder if I read the Melting Verse. Will check when I go home.

It's entirely possible I'm misunderstanding, but the Supernatural kink meme stories do get filed in Delicious and get tagged pretty thoroughly. That's how I narrow down the field so I can avoid the multitudes of things that I just Do.Not.Want. to read. (Like the Daddy!kink. Seriously, do other fandoms have so many people who are interested in the parents having sex with their offspring? Does this happen in Star Trek or bandom or Torchwood whatever else is big out there?)

That's a relief. I mean, I already liked that they posted RPF and Wincest and underage prompts separately, but even so...I was still pearl-clutching. What's the delicious user?

Does anyone know if the blindfold kink meme does it too?

And whoring them out to their friends. What's with that?

Melting is good, but it's fucked up (for me), but it wasn't the fic I was thinking of. It starts off all yummy h/c, and then suddenly there's seriously non-con sandwiched inbetween the con, like it was a kink slotted into the story. And then it's never brought up again and it's all love and puppies, and that doesn't sit right with me.

Actually, for all that I love the whump she brings, and often, and repeatedly, and that the whump is shared and equal opportunity, there's a lot of non-con painful shit that pops up here and there that seems incongruous with the rest of some of the fics. Which I can handle some of, but not between Sam, Dean, and Castiel, not when they're doing it to each other. I'm a fragile flower.
