Smoking ban leads to major drop in heart attacks.
It's interesting. Second hand smoke seems to be much worse than even previously anticipated.
Liese, are you at your mom's place or have you made it home yet?
Yup, we're still at my mom's. Don't know exactly when we're going to leave, but it'll be the 3rd-5th probably. Tomorrow is our normal NY meal (fondue!) because we were supposed to have Dave's folks down here too. But it looks like with health they're not going to make it over.
Then Friday with D.'s brother & sister. Saturday maybe a couple of other friends. But I'm ready to be home soon, I think. We'll just have to dodge a little more weather, probably.
Rocket==Awesome.

Dinner was very tasty. Sadly, it looks like matt has a cold. Extra glad we made no plans for tonight.
This is what our dinner finally ended up being:
Roasted asparagus
Mashed cauliflower with garlic and cream (or for me with bleu cheese and brie)
Cabernet Pot Roast with whole peppercorns
Brioche with brie, saga bleu or pub cheese
Dessert was tiramisu, 3 chocolate mousse or mango mousse cake.

Jesus, I need to move in with Kat.
sara, MOVE IN! I'll feed you. But you are well aware enough to know that we eat like that maybe once a week.
I know that sounds like a delicious menu.
Netflix gave me Hidalgo today. Is is a good NYE option, or should I go with an old standby?
I liked Hidalgo! And IIRC, it won't make you end up crying in your sparkling wine, although there is violence, and Hidalgo gets injured at one point.
