Zoe: First rule of battle, little one. Don't ever let 'em know where you are. Mal: Whoo-hoo! I'm right here! I'm right here! You want some of me? Yeah, you do! Come on! Come on! Aaah! Whoo-hoo! Zoe: Of course, there are other schools of thought...

msbelle, I have frequently had the same identical thought.

Me too. I have been thinking about going back to school to become a baker or pastry chef.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Apparently, the Senate Dems are refusing to seat anyone appointed by Blago--

"It is truly regrettable that despite requests from all 50 Democratic Senators and public officials throughout Illinois, Gov. Blagojevich would take the imprudent step of appointing someone to the United States Senate who would serve under a shadow and be plagued by questions of impropriety. We say this without prejudice toward Roland Burris's ability, and we respect his years of public service. But this is not about Mr. Burris; it is about the integrity of a governor accused of attempting to sell this United States Senate seat. Under these circumstances, anyone appointed by Gov. Blagojevich cannot be an effective representative of the people of Illinois and, as we have said, will not be seated by the Democratic Caucus."

Me, too. I have been thinking about hairdressing school. Somehow when I was in school going into a trade was not something that was done, while in my mothers time, almost everyone went into a trade, and only a few went to college

Sue, have you seen this guy?

Now mind you, most pastry chefs are utterwhackjobs, but dang, this one's pretty.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

hairdressing and chef require a lot of standing. Of course plumbing and A/C work can require heaving lifting.

Maybe I should get on my other idea, find a husband.

My other idea was for my (so far, mythical) Great Uncle Issac to leave me his billions. I guess the will's still in probate.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

But see, this is what happens when you marry a pastry chef: [link]

Pastry chef Valentyn Shtefano and his bride Viktoriya show off her wedding gown, which Shtefano fashioned from 1,500 cream puffs and caramel.

I don't look that good Barb.

I think Electrician would be okay. Plumbing requires dealing with toilets and water.

Maybe I should get on my other idea, find a husband.

There's that. Or winning the lotto. Both seem equally likely to me these days.

At least I can say I play lotto.

Punishingly Intricate

I have been thinking about hairdressing school.

My best friend in SF had most of a grad degree in English lit and had been working in various office jobs for years. She just really wasn't suited for office work and these jobs made her really unhappy. So she went to beauty school when she was in her mid-30s and has been working as an aesthetician since then and now is in nursing school. This kind of hands-on work with people work makes so much more sense for her.
