But she was naked! And all... articulate!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Tom Hanks is the ick. Meg Ryan became the ick. Billy Crystal retired from rom com in time. I'm a sucker for John Cusack and Hugh Grant, though.

My sister's best friend is getting married next summer. I feel very old and single.

I found the metal-free sports bra! Tops without metal are easy--it's the pants and the brassiere that's the problem.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

My favorite "romantic comedies" are either in black and white, written by Woody Allen (esp. Annie Hall and Manhattan) or have baseball involved (Bull Durham).

One more reason that I love javachik -- Bull Durham is my numero uno favorite movie. Close second? Manhattan.

When Harry Met Sally still holds a very fond spot in my heart and that's considering I completely abhor Meg Ryan. But she hadn't quite hit the saccharine levels of precious yet and I love Nora Ephron's script for that film.

I adore When Harry Met Sally, and I think it's *because* it was pre-precious Meg Ryan, so she actually had chemistry with Billy Crystal, and it managed to be sweet and direct without making me want to gag.

(That's also why Innerspace was so good. Pre-precious Meg Ryan, hot-ass dimpled Dennis Quaid, and Martin Short at what was possibly the apex of his funniness. ["I'm POSSESSED!!!"])

Oh, and Harry Connick doing the soundtrack.

And then there's that, too. Best. soundtrack. EVAH.

Never did like Tom Hanks as a rom com lead though. HATED him in that horrible remake of The Shop Around the Corner-- what was it? You've Got Mail? BLEARGH.

It's because he was all puffy. Seriously. The puffiness ruined Vince Vaughn, too. (See also, Dan Akroyd, John Travolta.)

Yay wireless?

Kitten is crackers tonight. And I think he's exceeded Devi's weight though his fur is so sleek, he doesn't look it. He's nearly doubled his weight since I got him. Loki's growing up!

“Not dead yet!”

OMG, Innerspace! And Robert Picardo as The Cowboy! "You like Outlaw Josey Vales?"

I should mention, as cute as he is, he managed to dump a gallon of water into my bedroom rug and padding. It's all propped up for airdrying with bottles and candles (convenient) and he finds it fun to duck into the caves provided. I swear, I am bungying the water bottle to the wall when I leave next week (this is twice now.)

There's a bit of music in tonight's Leverage over the last kiss between Amy and Elliot-- is that Kane?

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

According to this site [link] in 2007 the three most popular boys' names were Aidan, Braden and Kaden. Is there a new fashion in naming nephews of Disney characters?
