There's a bit of music in tonight's Leverage over the last kiss between Amy and Elliot-- is that Kane?

According to this site [link] in 2007 the three most popular boys' names were Aidan, Braden and Kaden. Is there a new fashion in naming nephews of Disney characters?
He really is. My little coyotecat. Which is what keeps him mine when he's trying to nip my ass at 5 am. Though he is getting better; I have a lamp on a timer set to turn on at a bit before 7. He seems to be heeding that of late. Woe to me when the sun comes up before that. It's been helpful getting me up in the dark. I usually run late until the sun is up before 7.

Those aren't the most popular names actually given to kids, just the most popular among people who posted their favorite names at babynames.com.
I kinda like having a tree. I never missed one, but this one makes me smile.
Loki has some beautiful stripes! Speaking of kitties, my friend took a great picture of some in Fez:
lisah, those three little kitties are so cute. I had some wonderful pictures of kitties in Istanbul. I don't know what it was, the light, the architecture, but the pictures of those cats were among the best I've ever taken.
I'm super behind on House. How come this one is a watch-from-the-hall?
Kat, this was from the first, I think. The epidemic in the maternity ward. I stopped watching when I had a panic attack after House performed an autopsy on a newborn baby. Owen was 8 months old when it aired but I lost it at that scene.
It came on TNT on a rerun tonight after we had watched something else.
We switched it off and watched Hellboy, instead.
It is 10:15 pm, and I am baking something for the holiday potluck at work tomorrow. I started at 7:00 to make this sweet potato/apple torta, but ran into trouble, The recipe asks for thin slices of the sweet potato, but for some reason I got the notion that it asked for slices that were 1/4" to 1/2" thick. there is layering of apple and spotato interspersed with a mixture of thyme, green onions, parmesean cheese, some flour, a little sugar, salt and pepper and drizzles of butter.
Well, I had it all assembled when I realized my slicing error, so I tried to deconstruct it and reslice the spotatoes, which were now slippery from the butter. I was having a hard time of it and making a mess when I noticed a trace of red on one of the slices that I had just placed back in the pan. Well, let's just say, Iinjured myself. Which meant I had to spend some time on the floor trying not to faint, which of course added time to the process.
I hope this thing tastes ok, because it is a disaster in execution. I hope no one finds a missing part of me while they are eating. Yeesh! What made me think I could cook?
Cashmere, it's funny that for me House is less irksome than Private Practice. I mean, House can press buttons, but not as badly as the fertility stuff on Private Practice.
