Like any of that's enough to fight the Dark Master. Bator.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I like romantic comedies.

My father's gift arrived in the mail and it's smaller than I thought. I'm not sure if we should get more for appearance's sake. It's not like it didn't cost as much as we'd budgeted.

Why are the last two episodes of Dead Like Me only available on DVD and not streaming? It's even only half the DVD--the antepenultimate and the one before that stream just fine.

Weirdly enough, watching DLM makes me understand the people that didn't like Jaye in Wonderfalls a bit more, although I still really like her.

I have an MRI at 9:55 tonight. That's just too late.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I hate when things look small that aren't, necessarily. Actually, this is a reason I'm slightly apprehensive about having ordered 90% of my Christmas presents to be delivered straight to my parents' house -- I won't see them in person before it's too late!

I have cookies in the oven and have ordered my last gift. Phew. I hope the cookies come out.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Who does MRIs at 10 o'clock? WTF?

We're supposed to get 6-9 inches of snow on Thursday night. That could change.

I love this recipe because it's my grandmother's, so it's all "have pie crust ready" and "cook until done."

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Aww, your grandmother cooks like my grandmother!

It's how I cook, really, except I have to pull out Mrs. Rombauer to make the pastry.

Punishingly Intricate

Oh, dag, my cookies are good but won't work for what I had planned. I was hoping I could make little sandwiches w/ salted caramel as the filling. They are too crumbly..what to do, what to do?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Make a parfait.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Apparently people were waiting 40 minutes for the bus that I caught without having to wait one bit. I took the bus to downtown Evanston, where I bought new boots. Which means I've significantly lowered my chance of falling and breaking a limb, as my current shoes have poor traction on slush and ice.

Also what you do when your Chocolate Jesus melts, or so says mr. Waits.
