Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Sunday is one of my nieces' birthday. I shipped a present to my sister's house. Hopefully someone will be home to sign for it. If not, I'll be running around frantically for a present on Saturday. That, and Christmas cards are my big plans for the weekend.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yay, I'm glad you asked the this weekend question. I was just wondering what people were doing.

We're teaching today and tomorrow of course. Dave has a very music weekend. He'll be playing trumpet in the symphony on Saturday and piano for the church special music on Sunday.

Other than that, he's working on cleaning and sealing the grout in all our tile. It was dirty before we moved in because we pulled the paper up too soon and workmen tromped around. I think I'll just be doing some serious housecleaning.

And I have some work work to do as well, since I spent all of my admin day getting my hair done. They had to redo the color because ORANGE! but it looks reasonably okay now. I dunno yet how I feel about it. I think it looks like a haircut my sullen emo teenage boys would get.

But anyway, I spent all of yesterday getting that done, then sulking about how long it took, so I got jack else done. Which means I should get off my duff right now.

Remaining weekend plans: sit in front of the fire with dog and book.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What are people doing this weekend?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Tonight I am going to see Kathy Griffin with a friend. Tomorrow afternoon is our Holiday Open House--any LAistas are welcome, email me for details--so tomorrow morning is insane cleaning frenzy. Sunday is back to studying for the CSETS and the Survivor Finale.

Librarian Warlord

Tomorrow I work 9-5, then the DH and the dog and I are meeting friends at 5:30, and we'll wander over to the Yappy Hour where bonny fides does her lesson and have dinner.

Sunday will be some chores and quality time with my puppy.

Monday will be sending the DH and puppy away for the day so I can do more chores and sit on my butt without being bothered.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

This weekend I will be rolled up into a perfect stressball, dealing with Emmett's miserable school year and death o' the car.

Because books.

Tomorrow is writers group chapter holiday party, and then getting together with my critique group after, with some shopping wedged in there somewhere. Sunday is copyediting, possibly baking, and cleaning house.

Our wings are not tired.

Tonight is hair cut/color in West Portal followed by shenanigans with Megan. Tomorrow is getting car fixed (new valve cover or something)in the AM while I study at coffee shop and the afternoon of putting up outside lights, wrapping presents and general housecleaning/decorating. Boyfriend is sick, so probably no viewing of "Milk" as I was hoping Saturday night in the Castro.

Sunday is football and lots of texting with Juliana about tight ends and such.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Tomorrow I'm teaching in the AM and then I'm having dinner with Polgara at the Grove as part of a class. I mean, the going to the Grove part. The dinner w/ Polgara is the icing on the cake.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Sunday is football and lots of texting with Juliana about tight ends and such.

Mmmmm, Donald Lee. Though I love me some wide receivers. And then there's the awesome defensemen.

javachik, I just might join you in Pacifica at one point. We Shall See about a) the weather and b) the status of my homework.
