I can handle the Oz Full Monty. I mean, not 'handle' handle.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Nope. It's just all the stupid little steps. Like they box up the bubble light separate from the electrical strings, so we needed to attach them and then put in each light one by one. Which okay doesn't sound like that much but really it took hours to unknot the wires, hang them, attach each light socket to the tree, and then put in the lights.) I was told garlands came next, then and only then could we put up ornaments. PHew!

I don't usually like garlands, myself.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I want to read Diamond's Why Sex is Fun.

It's not bad, though I found it drier than Guns, Germs and Steel.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Did anyone else watch Leverage? That was fun, and had a definite Hustle vibe. Also, very slashy.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I was irritated by Guns, Germs and Steel and haven't picked up any of Diamond's stuff since.

I read Collapse, and it was just "humm, OK". GG&S is part of the literature in my World History Survey class. I just find Diamond a little bit irritating, not sure why.

And that comes from a woman whose deepest love is anthropology (OK, and subcultures).

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Noah decided to try on my glasses:

Oh my! He's so precious!

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I was thinking of showing some of the National Geographic episodes of GG&S, but there are some bare breasts in there (in footage of Guinean women making food), and so I feel both hesitant to show it to teenage boys and ridiculously parochial for even worrying about it. But there you go. Parental approval aside, I'm not entirely sure they'd be able to resist the urge to make inappropriate comments. Heck, I had trouble. Boobies! Yes, culturally appropriate, natural, nothing wrong with it at all. But female appendages swinging free!

My inner 12-year-old boy makes it difficult to do my job sometimes.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I didn't, but will! Is the one on Tuesday the same one from last night, do you know?

Hee! Also, probably just as well if you're working with outer 12-year-old boys (or similar).

It is cold like woah here. At least it's supposed to warm up tomorrow.
