I was irritated by Guns, Germs and Steel and haven't picked up any of Diamond's stuff since.
I read Collapse, and it was just "humm, OK". GG&S is part of the literature in my World History Survey class. I just find Diamond a little bit irritating, not sure why.
And that comes from a woman whose deepest love is anthropology (OK, and subcultures).
I was thinking of showing some of the National Geographic episodes of GG&S, but there are some bare breasts in there (in footage of Guinean women making food), and so I feel both hesitant to show it to teenage boys and ridiculously parochial for even worrying about it. But there you go. Parental approval aside, I'm not entirely sure they'd be able to resist the urge to make inappropriate comments. Heck, I had trouble. Boobies! Yes, culturally appropriate, natural, nothing wrong with it at all. But female appendages swinging free!
My inner 12-year-old boy makes it difficult to do my job sometimes.
Did anyone else watch Leverage? That was fun, and had a definite Hustle vibe. Also, very slashy.
I didn't, but will! Is the one on Tuesday the same one from last night, do you know?

Hee! Also, probably just as well if you're working with outer 12-year-old boys (or similar).
It is cold like woah here. At least it's supposed to warm up tomorrow.
My DVR seems to think it's a different episode on Tuesday. I haven't watched it yet either.
According to my DVR, they are showing both the first and second episode on Tuesday.
Interesting.
I don't want to work today.
God, me either. There is no reason for me to be here other than to be here.
I watched Leverage and enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to Tuesday.
Am at work. Have caffeine. Wanna go back to bed.
