"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Go to bed, ita.

I promise I'll search for an apple pie while you'll sleep for the both of us, OK?

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

If anyone here interested, Brady Potts wrote an interesting post at Sociological Images.

“Not dead yet!”

My husband, he of the fabulosity, gifted me with something that has been missing from our kitchen for some time now:

We had one for years, but it died ages ago and we never replaced it.

Now, the question is, what should I christen it with? Chili? Beef stew/bourguinonne? Any other suggestions?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I promise I'll search for an apple pie while you'll sleep for the both of us, OK?

You have to also promise to not snarf it all.

I promise.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Barb, I saw that slow cooker in my W&S catalog and covet it greatly.

God, that's a gorgeous piece of kitchen hardware.

Shir, I think you get to keep all of the pie, since I didn't go to bed. I'm in a pissy as hell mood and it sure sucks to have to be awake through it.

Let's just say I hate all of the medical profession, even though I know they don't all deserve it. I lack the required magnanimity to pick and choose.

Maybe cream of wheat will calm me down. Or buttermilk pancakes.

eta: Now I want cream of wheat pancakes, despite them not existing.

eta²: Der. Of course they do.

Art Crawl!!!

When I got up this morning I could not find my glasses. No, not at all.

So, I am wearing my contacts. My contacts are not exactly the right prescription (neither are my glasses). And I have lots of close in work today. Happy Monday!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What is it with you, Buffistas, and making me want apple pie?

It is definitely apple pie season here in the US!

Sorry, ita. Sounds like a night of no-fun.

I was right not to want to come in this morning.

“Not dead yet!”

It's lovely in hand, Cash--the insert is light as all get out, which is such a welcome relief over the porcelain insert my old one had. I'm absolutely dying to break it in, but am totally dithering over what to make first.
