Any chance someone from here knows anyone from that Neo-Victorianism conference?
Sadly, no. But it looks really interesting—I wish I could go.
ETA: Thanks, Shir!

Bon voyage, Calli -- though I hope by now the taxi's come!
Today I find out if I can keep auditing the 3D class -- they've changed the formatting so it's split into two courses, though when I took it the first time it was a shorter single course that encompassed the same material, so I might be grandfathered in, or not, depending on bureaucratic whim. However, if I can't take it, I should get off my ass and work harder at finding a job, so I'm trying to convince myself that it's good whatever happens.
I'm also having the last slice of apple pie for breakfast.
Have a great trip, Calli!
Good luck, Theodosia.
Also,
I'm also having the last slice of apple pie for breakfast.
What is it with you, Buffistas, and making me want apple pie?
I should make apple pie. I should also go to sleep.
Go to bed, ita.
I promise I'll search for an apple pie while you'll sleep for the both of us, OK?
If anyone here interested, Brady Potts wrote an interesting post at Sociological Images.
My husband, he of the fabulosity, gifted me with something that has been missing from our kitchen for some time now:
We had one for years, but it died ages ago and we never replaced it.
Now, the question is, what should I christen it with? Chili? Beef stew/bourguinonne? Any other suggestions?

You have to also promise to not snarf it all.
I promise.
