Xander: Am I right, Giles? Giles: I'm almost certain you're not. Though, to be fair, I haven't been listening.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Wow, the Obama's dog really has been vetted better than Sarah Palin.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Warning: It's craptacularly cold here already. But, on the positive side, for the first time in 20 months, there are no political ads! It should be glorious until someone declares a 2012 bid in six months.

Monique, where do you live?

I had a nightmare last night that I was fired and have been a stress case all day. I'd be so fucked.

oy, lisah! I know exactly how you are feeling! peace and job~ma to you.

msbelle, hope he finds a good channel for that.

I only note this because it strikes me as funny: I had a nightmare: collapsing ceiling and water damaged walls, and WTF is up with that theme? It's quite recurrent and is as traumatic as my basement dreams, which are bad. Waking up screaming obscenities in a panic bad. It then morphed into an embarrassment dream. See, I was going to some workshop at a friend's church (uh?) and couldn't figure out where in the building to go, but then this guy arrived and kindly showed me where, except I was all gauche and socially inept and felt stupid. The guy? Obama.

The radio must've come on during that one. Politicians usually, thankfully, stay out of my dreams. I tend to stick to reinventing current events. Which is its own trauma, but one I'm used to.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I really hope they stick to their plans and get a shelter or a rescue dog.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Me, too.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aren't poodle mixes often good for allergic people, too? I thought that was one of the reasons a high school friend of mine had a cockapoo.

Art Crawl!!!

They can be - it depends on the dog. I should say that the reason that the Australian organization (or whatever) that pioneered the "labradoodle" project stopped was because they could not get the cross to breed "true" for hair rather than regular dog coat.

You can find purebred dogs at the shelter or through rescue.

(Ed. to clarify.)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

See, now that's why Obama won, because he brings the community together. Even over a puppy.

I just took some cookies out of the oven. The recipe called them buckwheat sugar cookies, but they look like buckwheat shortbread to me. And they smell delicious, but we have to wait for them to cool before we eat them.
