Now, Tom, it could be worse.

It could be Minneapolis.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Thanks for the names, y'all! Sorry I queried and ran, but I had to go teach my last 3 classes. And, can I just say how much I really hate 6th graders at the beginning of the year?? I mean, seriously. Don't like 'em.

I think I'm gonna use the name "King Slick." It's for a character I'm adding to Schoolhouse Rock Live. He'll have the solo part for "Do The Circulation."

I have a cat who is very low maintenance but needs attention. And, I have an electric scooping litter box, so I only have to clean it once per month. No scooping. I love it muchly.

The main twice yearly conference for this field are almost always in the worst possible location for the season. Summer will be in Phoenix, SoCal or Atlanta. Winter conferences in Canada, Chicago, Boston. It's a running joke.

(It's probably related to rates, but still! Couldn't they just try to avoid the extremes a bit?)

I get to go home now!

Punishingly Intricate

Now, Tom, it could be worse. It could be Minneapolis.

It could be Fargo! I had to go there for business once. Only in November but still. Who was talking about being freaked out by places where everyone looks alike? I am freaked by it too and that's exactly what Fargo was. A sea of kinda pasty blonds. Nice people though.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I would have to be paid to be at a birth. seriously.

I don't even like being a bridesmaid.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I get to go home now!

I've been home all day! Of course, I was asleep for some of it and in pain for most of the rest, but still, inside pants all day!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

As a New Yorker, everyone being nice to me would freak me out way more than everyone looking the same.

Compassionately intolerant

I would have to be paid to be at a birth. seriously.

I have been paid and it was pretty cool, I must say. Since I'm a detail herder by nature, it was great to be able to make sure that everything was right in the universe so that the mom, dad and midwife could focus on the important bits.

Plus? Sweet mystery of life. Quite cool, really.

Toronto is a cool city. Much of it is underground. You never have to go outside, if you plan it right.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Now, Tom, it could be worse. It could be Minneapolis.

It could be Fargo!

Yeah! At least Minneapolis has the skyway system!!
