Good luck. Try not to kill people. Hands! Hands!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Something cute from yesterday - just before it was time for me to leave for work, Harvey decided he needed to snuggle. He slung himself over my shoulder, where I held him with one hand and petted him with the other. He purred, a lot. When I tried to set him on the desk so I could get my jacket and leave, he clung to me. And purred harder. So I stood up, with him still clinging, and got my jacket. Then I was able to detach him. But when I got to work and noticed all the cat hairs all over my shirt, I mentioned to bosslady that I almost had to bring the cat to work, she said, "Well, why not? He'd be welcome. Someone else used to bring her dog in, and the dog didn't even like the residents."

We already know Harvey is very tolerant and patient with these folks, as I sometimes bring them here to pet him. It's not quite practical to bring a cat to a place without a litter box for an eight hour shift. Maybe sometime on a day off, I'll take Harvey on a visit over there.

{{Beverly}} May your mother's passing be peaceful.

Well, why not? He'd be welcome.

Aww. I see the NYT has a story on service dogs for veterans on today's front page -- lots of people seem surprised at how much these companions help out with stress.

Punishingly Intricate

I seriously need to stop Googling prop 8 stuff. Seriously.

I don't know if it will help at all but I thought this was kind of awesome and funny.

Okay, that was funny. Thanks, lady sailor :)

Well, why not? He'd be welcome.

I could have brought my old Koogie into the office, if there had been a litter box. All he did was sleep, and if he could have slept within touching distance of me for eight hours, he'd have been a deliriously happy kitty.

Amon would be tromping over everyone's keyboards, looking for access to eBay so he could buy things. Otherwise he'd be jumping up and giving attack hugs to everyone's legs in Siamese enthusiasm.

Oh, Beverly. So much love to you and yours.

So, who's got a good cranberries recipe for Thanksgiving. It's the only thing I'm not sure about.

So, who's got a good cranberries recipe for Thanksgiving.

    • Open can of cranberry sauce.
    • Pour out contents.
    • Mash up the cranberry sauce so that it's not can-shaped.
