[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Beverly, so much peace~ma to your and your whole family right now.

There's some thinking the Rox will flip Street to the Indians or Mets who both need a closer.

With Devine and Ziegler and a ton of strong arms in the minors, the A's can afford to lose Huston. Though it will be tough to lose his smile and courtly southern manners.

I like Smith, but he's not great loss. They can plug in somebody like (the aptly named) Outman and get a similar performance. That's not even talking about their top prospect pitchers: Gio, Cahill, Anderson, Mazzaro, Simmons.

Carlos Gonzalez has the most upside of the A's outfield prospects, but they've got a glut there anyway: Sweeney, Cunningham, Murton, Buck, Patterson...

They can afford to make this move.

I like the deal for the A's. The AL West is a two team division basically. They're trying to get Furcal at short. If that happened and with the prospects they've got - they could make a run at the Angels who (a) outperformed their pythag last year (and hence should regress), and (b) are getting older.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Speaking of cover songs, somewhere, John Lennon is buying a beer for Johnny Cash: [link]

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Beverly, it's so lovely to see you. I think of you often.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

OMG this is one of the awesomest things I've ever seen done with a cover song.

I love that cover, and it is only slightly less awesome than Richard Thompson doing Oops, I Did It Again. Which is the most awesome cover ever.

(Okay, so Cobra Starship doing I Kissed a Boy is up there, too. But I'm not rational about that one.)
