Ben: I didn't ask for any of this. I just want to be normal. Gronx: I wanted to be an underwear model. We play the hand we're dealt.

'Touched'

Spike's Bitches 43: Who am I kidding? I love to brag.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

The cookies oozed real thin while baking.

They probably needed more flour. The amount of water already in flour is highly variable. I usually add flour if the first batch becomes too thin. I actually like cookies to be thin and crispy.

Publix had butterscotch bits on at half price. They usually aren't there at all, but all kinds of things have reappeared for the holidays. I shouldn't have bought any, but I had a sudden nostalgic desire for butterscotch oaties. (That's a cookie from the '60s. It's an oatmeal cookie made with butterscotch chips, which are like chocolate chips.)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Did you drink too much in Silverlake AND litter? Because the bar here is pretty high today...

Even if that were true (which it's not), it doesn't mean you get demoted back to high school. For which we can all be thankful. Particularly GC because she'd be grounded for the next two months.

Since you don't have a choice about being a grown-up you might as well take care of the things that need to be taken care of tomorrow.

Also, bug, you really are the least reliable judge of yourself. Which you well know from therapy. Your standards are so unrealistic you live in an almost constant state of failing. Which has nothing to do what you have or haven't accomplished, and a lot to do with your expectations.

Shir, C'mon over. I won't be eating any of them. Today is closing for the show, so I made the choco chips for the crew. But I'll happily bake/cook for you. I make brownies too. And quiche (once, but it was good), lasagna, and and... Aw shit, now I'm hungry and I have to go to work.

VW, you ok?? What happened??

It's mostly/kind of relationship stuff. I'm bad at letting myself depend on other people. CBD is helping me with some stuff that is filled with baggage for me (money, actually), and it freaks me out that he won't be able to handle it, and he'll leave...or that I'll lose independence that I've fought so hard for.
