I'd love to come to the F2F for once, but I'm starting to red-line on travel plans this year (San Francisco, DC, Detroit, Greece, and either India, Mali, or a Central American country to be determined later). And that's just through September.
I knew getting a cat would convince my office to ramp up my travel schedule. (OK, Detroit and Greece are all on me.)
Speaking of San Francisco, I'll be in town for a conference (NTEN, if anyone here's going) from April 25-29. I'd love to meet up with some west coast Buffistae for a drink if anyone's around and interested.
I would love to on the weekend, Calli.
Perkins, what the hell are you doing up so early on a Saturday?
This is when I usually wake up.
Great, Perkins! Let me get my family stuff squared away and we can see about times and places. (I have a great uncle who lives in San Francisco, and he's informed me that we will be dining together at some point. Gotta love those old school patriarchs. @_@)
How much do I love you people that I watched Rachel Ray's Vacation because it was set in Seattle.
Queen Anne District- Breakfast at 5 Spot; Easy Street Records for music lovers;
Downtown - Pike Place district; Matt's in the Market (located above the Market, across from the fish tossing);
Madison Park - Vegetarians- Cafe Flora; Southwestern- Cactus (good margaritas); good shopping; Japanese Garden; Aboretum.
Capitol Hill - Dinette, French inspired (1/2 price wine on Wed); Lark - cheeses, charcuterie, local artisans, sustainable foods
Txori- tapas
Ballard- Blackbird (men's closthing); Volterra- italian
I definitely want to plan a trip to Pike's Place Market, maybe Saturday morning.
I'm not sure I love you people enough to watch Rachel Ray. I have spent one day in Seattle and saw the market and the fish throwing, but I'd love to go again.
