How much do I love you people that I watched Rachel Ray's Vacation because it was set in Seattle.
Queen Anne District- Breakfast at 5 Spot; Easy Street Records for music lovers;
Downtown - Pike Place district; Matt's in the Market (located above the Market, across from the fish tossing);
Madison Park - Vegetarians- Cafe Flora; Southwestern- Cactus (good margaritas); good shopping; Japanese Garden; Aboretum.
Capitol Hill - Dinette, French inspired (1/2 price wine on Wed); Lark - cheeses, charcuterie, local artisans, sustainable foods
Txori- tapas
Ballard- Blackbird (men's closthing); Volterra- italian
I definitely want to plan a trip to Pike's Place Market, maybe Saturday morning.
I'm not sure I love you people enough to watch Rachel Ray. I have spent one day in Seattle and saw the market and the fish throwing, but I'd love to go again.
Watching fish be thrown -- fun! add some amazing musicians -- and It is a good place to be
The Margaritas at Cactus are merely ok.
I can attest.
Best ones in town used to be at Pesos. I think some of the newer places have even better ones.
Tapas at Ocho in Ballard. Mmmmmmmmm.
I have no respect for any food program that goes to Ballard and doesn't mention Cupcake Royale, Sam's Sushi and Zak's Burger Joint. Oh, and Pete's Smokin' BBQ.

I suspect that is Voodoo Donut who're in Portland. Seattle can lay claim to Bacon Salt, tho'.
Whew. I was so scared last night--someone had me convinced that Pride was the same weekend as the F2F. EEEK.
I just googled and it's not.
