Wheeeeee! Chicago! So excited. Made some reservations, doing research. So excited. Any thoughts on preferred deep dish pizza? Or stuff to do with an 18 year old girl from Ireland?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
Any thoughts on preferred deep dish pizza?
I've loved Giordano's every time I've eaten theirs, but Chicago residents may know more closely held secrets of the deep dish.
So, it looks like Tom and I will be in the Chicago area over a long weekend - November 9-12
hmmmm

Nora, brenda and I had an amazing meal at Moto. The best meal I've ever had, really.
Moto looks amazing but I am pretty sure I am not going to get Tom to a Michelin star restaurant on this trip, especially one that is based on 16 courses of molecular gastronomy. It's all Coi's fault. Also mine, I blew my Michelin star gasket in Northern CA in 2009.

also, am I correct in assuming that you cannot just go and hang out at Aviary like a normal bar and you have to make a reservation for a cocktail tasting?
Your hotel isn't far from Alinea, but reservations are probably booked several months in advance.

Gino's East. Giordano's is good, too.

I might be able to work something out. Lemme work on it.
Yeah, Alinea is not happening, either. See: French Laundry in 2009, not having a repeat of that level anytime soon.
Just want fun places with great food, good vibes, and delicious beers, this time out. However, if the NOLA-Chicago train ride works out, maybe we might come up more frequently!
Gino's East or Lou Malnati's. Pizano's for thin crust.
