Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Woooooooo. I am jealous of both of you.

But a teeny bit more jealous of smonster because she gets to read Feed for the first time. SO UNPREPARED.

Is anyone interested in seeing Sleepwalk With Me at the Music Box when Ira Glass and Mike Birbiglia will be there (Aug 31, Sept 1)?

Aw, damn it. I totally would be there, but I'm in Atlanta over Labor Day.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

So, it looks like Tom and I will be in the Chicago area over a long weekend - November 9-12. We're taking a train! Trying to figure out a good place to stay, good beer bars, and of course, good restaurants. Girl & the Goat is on my radar, and doesn't Consuela have a relative doing something awesome in the city?

There is potential for a Buffista meetup based on seeing where some family obligations land.

Nora, you should totally go to Consuela's brother's restaurant, Farmhouse! LOADS of amazing beers and delicious food!

Ooh, Farmhouse, will investigate. Thinking that Friday night we meet in the Girl &Goat area at around 7 and go pubhopping. Where would be good to meet?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Haymarket is right across the street. [link] So is Holiday [link] which might be less zooy around that time as a meet up spot. Both are good though?

This is the Farmhouse you mean, lisah? [link]

Haymarket looks awesome, and I'm intrigued by Holiday, mostly because their website is a little underwhelming, heh. I'm good with a lower key meetup place though, so Holiday would work to start and hopefully we can check out Haymarket and maybe Publican? Is that a drinking place or more of an eating/drinking place?

That's it, Nora! It was fantastic!

Publican is great, too. And it is definitely an eating/drinking place.
