'Out Of Gas'

F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Barring an F2F party plane that picks up every Buffista at their doorstep, I can't see a Hawaii or Alaska F2F being affordable options. (Which is a shame because both would be pretty awesome placed to visit with you guys.)

Weren't we talking of Buffista Island actually being mobile, to go with the seasons? Who's to say we couldn't make it go so far as Hawaii and Alaska as the spirit moves?

If you're gonna dream, dream big.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

However, I would say that the pimper/organizer should live in or have intimate knowledge of the city

Why?

Because what self-respecting city would want to be pimped by a total stranger?

which leads, of course, to the question of what self-respecting city would host us?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Sorry to interrupt the planning, but DebetEsse and I are going to be in DC this weekend for the rally, and we wanted to know if any DCistas would be interested in getting together for dinner Saturday night.

Normally, I would love to, but I am at the theatre until 5 and have a wedding at 7.

I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night.

Andi

I'm from Minnesota (grew up in Mankato, went to college in St. Paul) and while I haven't lived there for a couple of decades, both of my sisters still live in the Cities and I'd be happy to ask them to scout out places for you in Minneapolis if you want someone to visit the hotels and report back. I can also help you put together a list of things to see and people to do if you'd like. My profile addy is good.

Thanks, lcat. I think that would help.

Sorry, Hil, but this weekend is also a law profs conference and my best friend from law school is in town so he and I will be boring my DH to death with stories only Doug and I find amusing about people DH doesn't know.

I'm getting the pig!

Plei and meara - Hi! We have a rental car so we can meet wherever. We're staying at Hotel Monaco but I don't know how close that is to either of you.

I'm pretty close, Nicole--if you look at the water, then turn around, I'm about...1.5 miles? But it's all uphill from downtown. :)

So yeah, I am free tomorrow! Though probably not early, cause...weekend. But I can show you where the good coffee is...and there's plenty of halloween fabulousness in my 'hood!

I can't meet up Saturday evening and I have a doctor appointment in the morning.
