Saffron: But we've been wed. Aren't we to become one flesh? Mal: Well, no, uh... We're still two fleshes here, and I think that your flesh ought to sleep somewhere else.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

And we can't take care of those? sob!

Hey, my knees are about ten years past any possibility of taking up rugby!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

This Amy, both first kisses, and I was just about to say that Trudy has someone in common with everyone. Possibly, like, on earth.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My worst threads cross moment happened on TT when a poster revealed she was sleeping with someone who'd dated a cousin of mine (and whose roommate I'd briefly seen) and I realised that my sister was dating her ex.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I used to be active on an editors/researchers' board where someone had asked for guidance with something she was working on that had to do with blood splatter patterns for a mystery. Maybe a year later I was reading some Mulder/krycek fic and came across the exact scenario. Even though I'm usually super careful about maintaining borders I emailed her and sure enough.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Kate and I also have a mutual friend, who she knew in high school and I knew in college.

Not just a friend (for me), but my first serious boyfriend! And I love that Trudy met my friend S. in line for MCR. I even get little thrills when Buffista friends and RL fannish friends turn out to know each other on LJ.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

meara and I figured out that we were at the same pimps'n'hos party in 2000 but never met. I went back and looked to see if she was in the background of any of my pictures, but she wasn't.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I love the degrees of buffistas. Of course it makes me think that everyone is us, which is a dangerous sort of thing to think.

SO! What do the Chicagoistas` schedules look like on the afternoon of the 29th (I think), between about 11 & 2? I`ll be Amtraking through & have a layover. If anyone`s up for train station Chinese food, or wants to whisk me away, I`d love to see people!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Any DCistas want to go out with me for birthday dinner on Saturday? Maybe here [link] ?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Brenda and I are meeting up at Xoco in Chicago around 5:30 (or as close to then as I can actually manage to arrive and she to get there after work).

I will be Internet-free today, so if you don't have my cell number (It hasn't changed in years and years), then just show up.
