Sir? I think you have a problem with your brain being missing.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

coming home after a trip is always surreal to me. Am I really here, or am I back where I was just thinking about home. Or did I never leave?

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I just had a remarkably terrible trip returning home, but as I finally *am* home and have managed to avoid assaulting people and inanimate objects, we're just going to count it as a win. Lovely weekend, all.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Things have been going crappy for me since the moment I checked out of the hotel but as soon as I start feeling down I remember how much fun I had and suddenly I'm quite cheerful again.

P-C I love the pics. I ganked the space needle one for my desktop. Where did you find the plaque about washing your hands?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It was in Old School Frozen Custard in Capitol Hill. I'm glad I finally got to it, right before I left. Although I wish I'd made it there on Friday, when they had key lime.

I ganked the space needle one for my desktop.

Hee. Awesome.

Jilli? Since when did we become Vortex's minions?

Dude, we were PLOTTING. I recognize our plotting posture.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Dude, we were PLOTTING. I recognize our plotting posture.

You always look like that. ... Okay, that makes sense, actually.

I don't want to be home. I want another day of F2F.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

While I am still here in Seattle, it is *not* the same. I miss my peeps. But, I am enjoying catching up with old friends.

Meara, wrt to the problem you talked about at the Purple dinner, my hosts have offered their services. They said "clearly she's not looking in the right places, there are PLENTY of butch lesbians in this city". They were wondering if you'd like to do an e-mail addy exchange?

Now a chance for you all to be jealous. Since I am at the mercy of my hosts with cars (and, since I am visiting them for a limited time, I don't want to scamper away on my own), but it looks as though, if the timings are right, we will get to attend Jilli's book reading event!!!! Sweet! Hopefully we will get there early enough to scout out good seats where we can hear AND see the fabulousness that is Jilli!!

Now, what to do during the rest of the day while my hosts work? I'm leaning towards sleeping in a bit, and trying to get the 12:30 tour of Safeco field. Alas, no game. Jilli's event takes precedence over baseball!

A quick aside to those of you who kindly let me scarper with the copy of Souless by Gail Carriger: um, I'm sorry, I cannot ever let this book leave my possession. I am halfway through it, and it is EXACTLY what I had hoped for. Victorian-ish hijinks with vampires and werewolves and parasols! And it turns out the copy is signed. Um, I'll buy a copy and send that one around to those of you who wanted to read it too, I swear.

(Spoiler for the opening chapter: our heroine kills a vampire with a wooden hair ornament and a parasol! This book is fantastic!)

We are at our layover. One more flight to go, but first we have a substantial layover.
