F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.

note to self: do not read F2F thread while trying to pretend to work

Jilli, the airport Sheraton recently got re-done and it's nice. It's the "Gateway Sheraton". Stay away from the Westin.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Question: are people doing things Friday during the day? I know a few people will be around by then. I'm trying to squeeze in time with non-Buffistas as well but don't want to miss out on any potential fun goings-on. Although maybe non-Buffistas can join potential fun goings-on.

I will be doing something, though probably mostly walking the city and getting general bearings. I'll need to do something for lunch and dinner. It will probably also be the day to check out shops and stuff. More the alone time portion of the trip (not adverse to more group-ish suggestions), though I will probably check the hospitality suite periodically.

I figure Saturday will be the Underground City and the Science Fiction museum (plus monorail and Space Needle), and probably a group dinner before the prom.

Ah, yeah, the Science Fiction museum and underground tour thing do sound cool.

Isn't Plei trying to do a BBQ on Saturday too?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I'm coming in Thursday afternoon, so will probably be up for something on Friday. Not interested in the underground tour, but the Science Fiction museum sounds like fun.

For food ... I plan to eat salmon as much as possible.

I do want to be in on any group manicure trip this time, though ... I seem to be missing out when they take place.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'll be looking for something to do Friday day. And I'm seriously considering kayaking.

Group manicure? Weird, I was thinking about doing my nails for this trip since they seem to be growing for the first time in ages.

sorry ... I'm exertion and outdoors averse (one time I somehow got on the mailing list for a sample copy of Outdoor magazine ... I told a friend and she laughed so hard she choked). Something nice and indoors-y ... maybe a bead store?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Friday's usually ultra casual and a "see what happens" sort of affair. I usually spend it hanging out in the suite waiting tsay hi and give the traditional Buffista greeting. At some point, people stagger out for food. I'm planning on walking over to Pikes place chowder for lunch, since it's a madhouse in weekends.
