However: I am in Seattle right now, at meara's! Tomorrow evening there is a dinner planned with Plei and another friend of mine - let me know if anyone would like to join, and I plan to hang out with the non Buffista but still a cool friend tomorrow. Today is flexible and free - I only have an online class to catch up on. From Friday and in the weekend I'll be in Port Townsend.
I'll arrive to SF on the 13th. Plans are already scheduled with Hec for the 14th - if anyone wants to meet until the 18th, let me know! I'll be working two days during that week, but I'm flexible on when these two days will happen.
I will be in Seattle the week of the 13th but my calendar is rapidly filling up with work things and so I will probably have to save extra socializing for when we're all in SF that weekend.
Since people have been introducing me to good local food here I've been plotting a revenge. And by revenge I mean that if there is ever ceasefire and one or more of you will come, there are places that I need to introduce you to. (As it is, I just tried on a shit ton of old dresses in search of something for Saturday that could be fairly described as a frock. I unexpectedly found plenty of things I’d be excited to wear. And still went out and bought a bunch of new shit. I may need to invest in a steamer trunk. Which at least would be location-appropriate so there’s that.)
I'm annoyed because a dress I ordered 4 weeks ago from eShakti has still not been shipped. (In their defense, the confirmation email does say "Your order is estimated to be delivered in approximately 2-4 weeks," so they're not technically late.) I bought it mostly for our niece's wedding next weekend, but I wanted to wear it to the memorial, too. I have plenty of other dresses, though, so I have backup options.
I ordered two dresses off of eShakti 7 weeks ago thinking they would be good for the memorial. The app still says "delivery before April 15" for the order but the items are still in "Fabric and kit creation" so I don't expect them any time soon. I did assume 2-4 weeks was optimistic but I thought 8 weeks might not be too much to hope for...
