I'm envious of meeting the set, hippo, and thrilled for you. Thrilled for your award, and thrilled and envious of all three of you getting to hang out. We are the *best* people, and even more delightful sighted and met in the wild.

F2F5: I forget that everyone isn't us
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon.
I need some hive mind help. I need to be in downtown LA next Wednesday for the afternoon and in San Diego Diego a morning session.
I'm assuming LAX is the closest, but would it be easier to go through Burbank?
Since I have all of Thursday to make the drive to San Diego is there a time of day (or night) that would be a smoother drive?
If anyone would like to meet up Wednesday evening in the LA area or Thursday evening in San Diego, I'd love to see ya. I rarely get down to SoCal anymore.
and also I made it to your Strong Women in YA panel on Sunday.
Ahhh, Shrift! i'm so glad you came - that panel went a little off the rails, but it was interesting still, I hope.
Gonna need a bigger mantlepiece.
Buffista island goals.
hippocampus needs to be careful: [link]
Indeed! Looks quite dangerous.
ha the second one. hahahaha. cries.
I have no recs for LA, but I'd love to do dinner in SD, Suzi!
Suzi, Burbank is ALWAYS easier than LAX, though it's often more expensive. If you can swing it, highly recommend! The best time to drive to San Diego during the day would be to leave around 11 a.m. That will get you around the worst of the morning and afternoon traffic.
Wednesday as in this week? Would love to see you! Want to come over for dinner? If you are staying downtown, you can take the Metro to North Hollywood and I can pick you up there no problem...?
Suzi, I'll note that I went on a work trip this spring that involved meetings in both LA and San Diego.
I made a point of us staying in downtown LA because that puts you below the downtown interchange, which can save you a half hour of driving time to San Diego.
So we were able to bust out of LA and just hit the freeway south without crawling through any crosstown traffic.
(The Northern California example would be bypassing the MacArthur Maze.)
You're here this Thursday, Suzi, right? I just want to make sure before I move some things around. Looking forward to seeing you!
