I was hearing people screaming outside, but it seems to have calmed down now. On the news, they showed people celebrating outside the White House -- that's just a few blocks from here, and I'm thinking about walking over.
I wish the popular vote showed more of a mandate.

I have the feeling that getting booed at his own rally a few weeks ago for calling his opponent a decent man was a bucket of cold water in the face for McCain, and he began rethinking how he wanted to conduct his campaign and be remembered. Everything I've seen him say and do since has helped restore my respect for him.
