I wish the popular vote showed more of a mandate.

California, Oregon, and Washington will help with that, I think.

I have the feeling that getting booed at his own rally a few weeks ago for calling his opponent a decent man was a bucket of cold water in the face for McCain, and he began rethinking how he wanted to conduct his campaign and be remembered. Everything I've seen him say and do since has helped restore my respect for him.

Think about the popular vote result in context--the last time a non-incumbent president has won 55 percent was 1932.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

If McCain really wants to leave a legacy as a 'maverick,' he'll start a splinter party. At age 72.

'All of you who aren't lunatics, come with me.'

I know Pix. I want links to photos of people's reactions at 10CST. I don't have TV. I want to SEE it. I'm all alone at home and I want to SEE it, at that moment.

My internet is actually streaming! The internet fairies love Obama!!

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

helped restore my respect for him

I respect McCain. I'm glad it was him as the opposing candidate. It makes the victory all the better to know no one can say Obama didn't run against anyone of merit.

I don't know how I'll wind down to sleep.
