Gunn: Well, how horrible is this thing? Lorne: I haven't read the Book of Revelations lately, but if I was searching for adjectives, I'd probably start there.

I hope you did scream "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?"

There was definitely screaming along those lines. Though I was so shocked, my rage didn't really kick in for a few minutes.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

That kind! I think Starbucks is too Blue-state Elite for half the population, and too Corporate Evil for the other half. So we've got two local coffee shops for some, and McDonald's for others. Oh, plus the gas stations.

One of the less American parts of the country?

I think it's the other way around. The fewer the Starbucks, the more "real American" your town is.

Oh, man. I knew when he went home that Toot wasn't going to live long, but I'm sure I wasn't the only one hoping for just two more days.

Jesus. Wow, that's really, really sad.

Relatedly, I heard on NPR that Studs Terkel had said he hoped to live long enough to see the results of the election, and he got his absentee ballot in the mail the day he died.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That's so sad.

Punishingly Intricate

so sad about Obama's grandmother. I was really hoping she'd make it through tomorrow. At least he got to see her last week.
