What kind of zero-Starbucks town do you live in?
That kind! I think Starbucks is too Blue-state Elite for half the population, and too Corporate Evil for the other half. So we've got two local coffee shops for some, and McDonald's for others. Oh, plus the gas stations.
One of the less American parts of the country?
I pass by three Starbucks on my 15 mile commute.

I think it's the other way around. The fewer the Starbucks, the more "real American" your town is.

Relatedly, I heard on NPR that Studs Terkel had said he hoped to live long enough to see the results of the election, and he got his absentee ballot in the mail the day he died.
