I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Some of my coworkers are dressed up today. Those with small children brought them in and I had a small bowl of candy on my desk so they could trick-or-treat.

I have a costume for after work and wore the witch's hat part of it this morning.

That child has the perfect expression.

Good lord, I'm having an attack of the sleepies. My typing sucks.

I totally forgot it was Halloween until I was halfway to school today.

Random question: anyone else remember the early days of the Fox channel? When they had that women in prison sitcom?

Women in prison SITCOM? What the hell was that?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Spin off of the dancing Cop show.

I remember Fox's real-estate sitcom with Ellen DeGeneres as the office's receptionist. That was early on in Fox's broadcasting history.

It was called Women In Prison. (I didn't know or remember that. Just looked it up.)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Best Halloween Costume I've seen on Flickr yet.

Though, I think meara would prefer Annalee Newitz dressed as H.G. Wells

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I think I might remember that show. I remember a show about waitresses with Ann Jillian, but that may have been pre-Fox.

I just got so unreasonably angry that my work nemisis (while I was on vacation) cleaned out our kitchen, and threw out all of the condiments, tea bags, cocoa, flavored coffees, etc, because it was too cluttered. But what really pushed me over the edge is that there was this box of toothpicks from the 70's there, and I had really, really wanted them. Enough that I went to the department administrator and asked if I could take them, since I was afraid they would be thrown out. The administrator told me that I could not have them because she wasn't sure if they belonged to anyone and she didn't want anyone to get upset with her for letting me have them, but said if anyone was throwing them out, she would tell me.

And I just got so enraged out of all proportion because it just exemplifies the two people who are sort of equal/sort of a little higher... one completely careless of anyone else's needs and one so scared to make any sort of decision in case someone is mad at her! It is so frustrating.

Dude! You never ask if you can have the vintage toothpicks. You steal them. Because dumbfuck administrators will give you dumbfuck reasons just like that. "Somebody somewhere might yell at me!"

Petty Theft is the way of the cultural archivist.

Your work nemesis and dept. admin are super dumbfuck dipshit rage generators. I stab them both in the neck with a spork.
