"When was the last U.S. presidential election the Republican Party won without a Nixon or a Bush on the ticket?"
Hmm... I know it's been more than sixty years. However, since sixty years ago puts us squarely in Truman-land, and prior to that we had Roosevelt...
1928? Hoover?
I don't think so, as long as there isn't a 'the hell' in there.
I did it, more than once...
"When Palin does it she gets a hundred and fifty grand in clothes..."
I find that story pretty amusing. I'm sure Palin personally didn't have a lot to do with spending $150,000 on clothes and accessories in September. But really? $5,000 a day in September? When the campaign's message is that Palin is "one of us"?

Well, if she was really "one of us," as in the majority of the "real Americans" she purports to speak to, I'm sure they could've found a JCPenney's or if she was goin' high class, a Talbot's at which to outfit her.
Mind you, I could do some serious damage at Needless Markup, mostly in shoes, but I'm not trying to appeal to Middle America.
Of course I think the amount Palin spent on clothes is ridonkulous for a Joanna Six-Pack BUT I'm figuring they were outfitting the entire clan--five kids, plus Levi plus Todd. And her stuff would be suits, shoes and coats which are spendy even at sale prices.
My eyes aren't bulging over the amount but I'm laughing at the irony of this picture: [link]
Timelies all!
G is back from a business trip to Chicago. Friday we head out to OVFF. Busy, busy....
BUT I'm figuring they were outfitting the entire clan--five kids, plus Levi plus Todd.
I saw a breakdown - almost all of it is for Palin.
People Magazine: Do you think you're intellectual?
Sarah Palin: Yehhh-sss.
Those darn gotcha journalists and their trick questions.

Ha! As long as the RNC is buying the wardrobe I don't really care. It sounds like the state of Alaska has some questions about travel expenses though.
