I've really got to learn to just do the damage and get out of town. It's the 'stay and gloat' that gets me every time.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

She's still not wrong.

Love ya, babe.

"When Palin does it she gets a hundred and fifty grand in clothes..."

I find that story pretty amusing. I'm sure Palin personally didn't have a lot to do with spending $150,000 on clothes and accessories in September. But really? $5,000 a day in September? When the campaign's message is that Palin is "one of us"?

Well, if she was really "one of us," as in the majority of the "real Americans" she purports to speak to, I'm sure they could've found a JCPenney's or if she was goin' high class, a Talbot's at which to outfit her.

Mind you, I could do some serious damage at Needless Markup, mostly in shoes, but I'm not trying to appeal to Middle America.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Of course I think the amount Palin spent on clothes is ridonkulous for a Joanna Six-Pack BUT I'm figuring they were outfitting the entire clan--five kids, plus Levi plus Todd. And her stuff would be suits, shoes and coats which are spendy even at sale prices.

My eyes aren't bulging over the amount but I'm laughing at the irony of this picture: [link]

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

BUT I'm figuring they were outfitting the entire clan--five kids, plus Levi plus Todd.

I saw a breakdown - almost all of it is for Palin.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

People Magazine: Do you think you're intellectual?

Sarah Palin: Yehhh-sss.

Those darn gotcha journalists and their trick questions.

My eyes aren't bulging over the amount but I'm laughing at the irony of this picture: [link]

Ha! As long as the RNC is buying the wardrobe I don't really care. It sounds like the state of Alaska has some questions about travel expenses though.

Ouch. Of course, I think Cindy McCain spent that much on ONE OUTFIT for the GOP Convention. They have a different perspective, I'm pretty sure.

I also think it's funny that the RNC is trying to spin it by saying she's going to donate the clothes to charity after the election. Ha!

Thing is, too-- they're idiots. The real trick is in accessories. They really could have made her look every bit as good shopping at Ann Taylor loft or even Target (they were in Minneapolis, for God's sake!), with some basic pieces, and then picking up some really nice, high end accessories and a few really good pairs of shoes, a good Raymond Weil or Movado watch, and choose a signature piece of jewelry and she'd have been set.
