I'm pretty glad I was doing my cross stitch while listening to the debate, so I was able to miss most of McCain's smirking and blinking. I did like the reactions of Obama to McCain's more outrageous comments.

Obama = COOL AS ICE ICE BABY.

I don't think the debate swayed anyone. Although I have big respect for Obama not losing his shit about the fact that McCain's supporters were yelling "Kill Him" at rallies. He's WAY zen. (Or possibly had a couple of extra nicotine patches on [this was a suggestion from The Boy].)

McCain went at the debate like he had nothing to lose. And really, he didn't. So props for that.

But I can't watch that twitchy blinkiness for 4 years. Jesus.

The one in bold (assuming I didn't screw up formatting) is HUGE. The win/loss numbers are consistent with all the other debates, but the fact that this was a poll of undecideds, and a lot of those have been holding back on "I'm not comfortable with him" grounds, that's a big shift. When the trackers catch up with post-debate sampling, I predict that the trend will continue very much as it has been in the last few weeks -- it didn't decide anything in terms of final outcomes -- but with a lot fewer undecideds than there were a week earlier.

I think I skimmed too fast, where were people getting the real-time up and down reaction info on the debate? (men were up on McCain when he spoke about abortion, McCain support went down when he mentioned Palin...)
