I don't think the debate swayed anyone.
Not sure about that:
CBS poll of undecided voters:
Who won the debate?
McCain (R) 22
Obama (D) 53
Shares your values
Obama, Before the debate: 54
Obama, After the debate: 63
McCain, Before the debate: 53
McCain, After the debate: 56
The one in bold (assuming I didn't screw up formatting) is HUGE. The win/loss numbers are consistent with all the other debates, but the fact that this was a poll of undecideds, and a lot of those have been holding back on "I'm not comfortable with him" grounds, that's a big shift. When the trackers catch up with post-debate sampling, I predict that the trend will continue very much as it has been in the last few weeks -- it didn't decide anything in terms of final outcomes -- but with a lot fewer undecideds than there were a week earlier.
