semi-big anxiety attack. did not see that coming. am not amused. I fly tomorrow. did I mention not amused? no way I can get to bed, my head is racing still. ideas to calm it? I think I'll pop a melatonin, but that will only help once I'm asleep, right? god, not since like 2003 - oh I do not miss this.
Can you try labor breathing, msbelle? In through the nose, out through the mouth? Maybe a really hot shower?

I'm particularly useless (I think I told the last friend in the midst to think of pink hippos but that was 17 years ago and I was in shock myself) but I can talk of cute nephews and mindless crap. Like cats. Also? You'll be fine. I know you will. Wish I could hug you and you know what THAT means.
What about hot decaf tea/hot cocoa/warm milk or something like that? Maybe with a bitty bit of alcohol. (My issue with alcohol is that it always wakes me up a few hours later, unless it's just a little bit).
Would it help to do a crossword puzzle or a Sudoku or something to occupy/focus your mind on something?
