I said I'm sorry. I've made mistakes, but fear was never one of them.

“Not dead yet!”

Does Obama smoke? I had no idea.

Like Jesse said, he's trying to quit.

Yeah, sorry about that. October in Utah. It won't stick, though. Just bring warm clothes.

So, it's not so bad, 'cause it's a dry snow?

Does Obama smoke? I had no idea.

He's supposedly quit while running for President.

Yeah, because quitting during a stressful time makes it that much easier...

(Hell, his vice could be eating puppies and I'd vote for him. If a president wants to smoke to deal with the pressure of fixing 8 years of a morally corrupt, ignorant, hateful, war-mongering administration, then all I have to say is menthol or regular, Mr. President?)

Art Crawl!!!

I think he promised Michelle that he'd quit.

BTW, I hear that they decided to adopt from rescue rather than getting a puppy.

Well, one of the best-kept secrets of the Kennedy Administration is just how fierce a smoker Jackie was. She took great care to never be photographed with a cigarette and this was at a time when it was beyond socially acceptable. She really understood the value of the image they were trying to sell and sell it she would, by damn.

Probably to reduce the temptation to eat the puppy.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

But people like my dad, who used to vote Republican because that's what he'd always done, who I'm sure Sarah Palin would consider "Joe Six-Pack," are going to surprise the hell out of the country on election day. I truly believe it.

From your keyboard to God's ears, Steph.

I hope you're right. My Republican until Dubya, 82-year-old, former Naval officer father can't stand McCain. He'll be voting for Obama, too.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

My dad is a notorious forwarder of e-mails, usually jokes, but occasionally he'll send a politically themed one. On Tuesday, he sent one that stated how Obama is a smoker, Biden has survived two brain aneurysms, so he'd rather vote for McCain/Palin since there's only one of them who has health issues on that ticket. I don't know if that's his belief or just that he agreed with the e-mail in general, and I wasn't able to ask him before he went on vacation yesterday. But I will ask him after he gets back.
