Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

For some reason, in the back of my head I'm hearing Bill Murray saying, "Cats and Dogs! Living Together!"

The argument is (seriously) that when the Rs were in charge in both houses, the economy was fine, but the Ds have ruined it by trying to (seriously) overregulate Wall Street.

Huh...I can't see how you can twist the logic to get there. I can see pinning it on Clinton. But overregulation by the current congress? Crazy.

“Not dead yet!”

Lean Cuisine for lunch = feh.

Made a bit more palatable however, by the fact that I am enjoying one square of Ghirardelli Extreme Dark w/ a touch of vanilla.

I sort of want to go out and get something for lunch to see if my speedometer is working ok. I figure this isn't a good reason.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I think I shall have salmon for lunch, at The Olive Mountain (that Middle Eastern place in Evanston that Teppy liked).

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Mmmmmm, Olive Mountain. They may possibly have the world's best hummus.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

From the Surveys That Never Needed To Be Taken file:

Would you be interested in coming back to work on your time off to attend a staff talent show? Y/N

Note lack of a "Bwah!!" option.

Yeah, it's the best I've ever had....

Oh, I forgot to impart this bit of good news: Last Friday, a clown gave me a stress ball.

The clown was working for a bank. Maybe that's the solution to the banking crisis - an army of bank clowns, spreading bright orange stress balls all across the country, like wacky Johnny Appleseeds....

Now that this has hit the wires, I guess it is ok to share: [link]
