This money, it is too much. You should have some small refund.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

HOMG. No more travel for me until teleportation is perfected. MM, you're on this, right?

5 hour flight back turned into an 8+ hour flight back including 2 hours of circling the midwest and an unplanned layover in Pittsburgh to refuel and do some more circling while the weather on the East coast sorted itself out. We didn't get home until almost midnight, and did not see daylight except out the window of the plane. Dylan was a trooper the whole way through, but was way too fried by the end of it to be comforted out of screaming and thrashing his way through the last half hour of the flight. Fortunately our passenger-neighbors were understanding and made the obligatory "He's just saying what we're all thinking!" joke more than once.

But apart from that, The Trip was a whirlwind of fun and excitement! The wedding was wonderful - short but beautiful ceremony with a faaaaaaaaaaaabulous view of the bay, then a fun reception with dancing and cupcakes. I cannot thank Hec and JZ enough for babysitting for us. People (NOT the bride and groom) did keep coming up to us at the reception asking where Dylan was, not realizing that 8pm in SF = midnight in NY, and one year-olds at midnight after a 5 hour plane right are Not Fun People To Be Around At Parties.

My shoes were v v cute, but gave me horrible blisters. Ptui. Let us never speak of them again.

Saturday we had an AWESOME lunch at Megan Walker's. Dylan took a little while to get comfortable, but after we gave him some food to nibble on he was perfectly happy to wander around babbling at people and throwing himself headfirst onto Megan's giant comfy floor pillows.

Saturday night we went to the Giant's game with a bunch of people from the wedding party, but only stayed for 2 innings because Dylan was a bit of a jet-lagged wreck. Much happier once we got back to the hotel.

Then I went out rampaging with Juliana and Cash in North Beach, which was superfun but turned out not to be such a great move the next morning. Waking up at 4:30 after one has had delicious martinis and a strawberry mojito? UGH. I wasn't even hungover when I woke up because not enough time had passed - I was STILL DRUNK. Which meant the transition from drunk to hungover happened WHILE I WAS AWAKE. Note for next time - martinis on the SECOND-to last night in town. Not right before getting on a plane.

Also, I don't think we took any pictures. We lose at sharing with the internets! Sorry! I don't even know if I have any pictures of the lunch at Megan's because I was too busy keeping Dylan away from Breakable Things That Are Not Ours. But there were a lot of cameras around (Javachik's made me jealous) so I'm sure somebody has proof that we were there.

I skimmed the thread and would like to hug everyone in a non-intrusive mutually acceptable way. Especially Sean and Drew, who are both WAY overdue for the pendulum to swing back in the direction of awesomeness.

And extra birthday hugs for The Empress! Happy birthday, Aims!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Thank you, honey!!

What size are the shoes? she asked, innocently.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Also, I don't think we took any pictures.

We took pictures of Dylan and Matilda.

“Not dead yet!”

she asked, innocently.

There's such a thing?

::she asks not so innocently::

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

There were pictures AND videos of the adorable Dylan and Matilda show!

And in OMG!!!! HOW COOL news - my college is offering two (TWO!!!) courses on pirates! History 212: Pirates and Travelers and (seminar) History 371: The Early Modern Pirate in Fact and Fiction. WHY did I have to go and graduate?

Meara-Time

I might have loved it when it was working, but I can't stay in an abusive relationship with an appliance.

Where is Super Porny Pants when you need her?

Oh, she's still laughing her ass off at: "I had a Braun stick blender and loved it until it burned out. As did the replacement."

Ive never seen Wicked or read the book but I want to do both.

You need to do both -- they are very different from one another. And both lovely.

Maybe you bruised your chin making out? It could happen!

Note to self: never make out with Erin.

I would have completely spaced the need for flour. Also? I don't use four very often (like, maybe once a year? Maybe?) and when
I open up the AIR-TIGHT tupperware container, there were dead little wormies! Gross! But I already had the grease and biscuits done, so I flipped 'em out, and reminded myself that there were only 4 or 5 little guys, and hey! weevils didn't hurt pirates or pioneers, right?

Hah! When I was in college my roommate and I did the same thing when we were making a cake. The cake turned out flat (We think they ate all the leavening agent. picky little bugs!) but we ate it anyway. It was yum!

Just got back from a toddler birthday party that was actually lovely. But the girls facepainting weren't getting a lot of requests, so I let them doodle all over me for the last half hour or so. Evil Spongebob, the fanged bunny, a smiling flutterby and a bubblebee with little motion lines (including a flip!) behind it are my favorites.

You should have had them make you a sleeve. That would be hardcore.

But it doesn't look like either men or women are liking the suits feel. They all are adjusting constantly, and wanted to be unzipped rather soon after the race.

I hear the drag reduction measurses render them wildly uncomfortable and a pain to get on and off.

9 or 9.5, I think.

So very. I would be happy to help them in and out of their suits.
