You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I go get and beat you with until you understand who's in ruttin' command here.

Spike's Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

The class is titled Intensive English and they're complaining about learning vocabulary? :boggles:

Anne, I hope you are feeling better today.

Continued support for Sean, S, vw's friend, Cashmere's friend, everyone else I'm forgetting at the moment.

Happy Birthday Super Porny Pants! and also Kara.

Gronk.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Happy Birthday Turdy!

Lovely Billboard Steph!

Hil- I think part of what they are trying to get across is that, although you should be dressed up, you don't want to look like you are interviewing to teach at a business school. Like, I might stay away from a black suit with pantyhose and heels and a shell and pearls and whatnot. Maybe a skirt and top in more earthy tones, with a coordinating, but not matching blazer? and clunkier shoes than you would wear in a business interview? Or a plainish, but high quality dress that you can wear with a blazer if you want? Maybe look at some of your female professors and think of what they would wear if they had to dress up?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Maybe look at some of your female professors and think of what they would wear if they had to dress up?

Heh. There are three female professors in my department. One wears a black skirt or pants and jewel-tone top every day. The other two are generally jeans and sneakers people. (My sister is completely horrified that I wear jeans and sneakers for teaching. I responded that my clothes don't have holes or stains, which puts me above at least half the other grad students.)

Maybe a skirt and top in more earthy tones, with a coordinating, but not matching blazer? and clunkier shoes than you would wear in a business interview? Or a plainish, but high quality dress that you can wear with a blazer if you want?

Thanks. That helps a lot. (Clunkier shoes are a must for me anyway -- I tend to twist my ankles or knees if I wear even slightly wobbly shoes.)

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Good morning, all. I had a reasonably good night's sleep (6.5 hours), and while feeling mild anxiety, I'm not dragging my feet too badly this morning. Thanks for all the good wishes.

::runs, hides, and cheers GG on from the corner::

Happy birthday, Trudy!

I hope your day is a good one, Anne.

Fanfuckingtabulous billboard, Teppy!

I'm in a "I have way too much work to do and I have no idea where to start" place this morning. I guess I'll answer email, then turn it off for the rest of the morning so I can work on other things.
