You two carried me through that war. Now I need you to carry me just a little bit further. If you can.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I have come home tonight to discover that our cable and our phone has been shut off.

Dude. You're in hell.

Sean! Listen to me. Find the freakin' social worker at the hospital. There is one. You need to find that person and have them intervene in your situation. You can't pay rent because S. can't cash her check because she's in an ICU.

This is why hospitals have social workers. To help with your circumstances.

Yes. This.

And you wonder why I swooned for you? Your pimping my show more than I am!

So, after much drama these past 3 days with the show, and me finding a way to oil the waters and get things on track, the head honcho of the theater (who directed the current show) sends an e-mail to those in the know with the situation (stage manager, musical director, my boss, sound designer)

This is GREAT NEWS. And I can now declare: "BC is my hero!"

What? Ego boosts feel good. If only they'd substitute for a day off and sleep.

How is Mooshu doing? Any eating on his own?

Wow, it was a quiet day in here today. Hope everyone had fun!

I forgot, the curious link that was e-mailed. Apprently this is how 11 year old's flirt:

She sent this video to the cutest boy in 6th grade with a note asking, "Do you like me?"

(very work safe, nothing pron about it)

[I hope it's a bit of a joke]

askye, your shock at $800/month is different from my shock at $800/month (ie, you think expensive, and I think cheap!) Location, location, location indeed. And I think I see stains on the carpet, so that's not new.

ION, a good friend has an article in the New Yorker this week. [link] It's her first in this particular magazine, and I'm redonkulously excited for her.

IO-ON, the dog woke us up this morning at 5 a.m. by puking on the bed. She's still awfully cute, just not so popular at the moment.

“Not dead yet!”

How is Mooshu doing? Any eating on his own?

Well, this morning, he drank a reasonable amount of water on his own-- which suggests he was thirsty, but not completely dried out and dehydrated, plus he urinated a usual morning amount, so his kidneys are still working fine. Both were big concerns.

I gave him a couple more ounces of the DogSure. Had to do it via syringe since he wasn't in the slightest bit interested in drinking it and gave him a couple of slices of American cheese. Funny thing is, he's obviously hungry-- he smelled the cheese and drooled, but it just like he's not digging the idea of eating. I had to put the cheese on his tongue, but when I did, he actually swallowed it back, which is an improvement-- yesterday he was spitting it back out.

Bloodwork back from the vet this morning. Fingers crossed that it's nothing more than Moosh being contrary.

I haven't slept worth a damn-- I think being worried about Mooshu, plus Lewis not being home combined to make me wake up every couple of hours. Feh. Much coffee today.

Oh, I hate that kind of awakening. Thankfully Toto is very polite. He jumps down on the floor to puke.

Sean, I'm going to third or fourth the whole getting a social worker involved. Let me know if I can help with this at all.

Barb, I hope Mooshu's blood work comes back with good news.

Sean, I agree with getting the social worker involved, but I think you need to stress with the SW and S's Mom that other than intervening with the landlord, you are not the decision-maker or the caretaker and they need to talk to each other about everything else.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Sparky, that was a very interesting article. Your friend did a great job with a very complex case.

Continued doggy~ma for Mooshu.
