Spike's Bitches 41: Thrown together to stand against the forces of darkness

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Bitches 42: Which question do you want me to answer first?

I like this one.

Happy Birthday, Scrappy!

And much ~ma to TCG's step-grandmother.

I'm not terribly bothered by spiders unless they're touching me. Bees, wasps, and hornets, on the other hand, engender a fear/hate response way out of proportion to their ability to hurt me. Haaaaate!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I can't even rid myself of the dead ones because I'm afraid the second I try to pick it up (with a whole roll of paper towels/toilet paper wrapped around my hand) the fucker is going to come back to life and come after me.

~ma to TCG and family. I skipped too much earlier and missed this.

I have nothing to do at work. Seriously, all caught up. I've been playing around on the internet all day, checking out the unemployment website and the variouis jobs websites. It's depressing to know I'll be out of work in only 16 days.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I escaped Houston without any further roach incidents. I was convinced the fuckers were going to launch one final strike.

“Not dead yet!”

How do you feel about giant flying roaches, Pete?

AKA, Palmetto bugs, in Florida and guess who gets to deal with them in our house? I mean, I don't like them, but they don't freak me out anywhere near as much as they do Lewis, because his older siblings used to think it HI-larious to give him dead roaches in boxes as birthday gifts when he was a wee one.

So I deal with their disposal. Luckily, we only get them on the rare occasion.

Now ants, on the other hand? I am TERRIFIED by.

Oh, doG, palmetto bugs. The first time I met one of those was in the close confines of the hallway in my grandparent's doublewide. I got to know the shag carpet quite well, I ducked so hard. I don't think I've ever been so freaked by a bug. Probably because I hate beetles of any kind. Those hard cases over the wings freak me out, I'm always afraid they're going to snap at me with them and cut off a toe or something.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

flying roaches... BAD. eew.

Grandma~ma to TCG. Yikes.

Ha! No, because she's never with us anymore, but you met the other 2 in our little crew on Friday. The girl with the long blonde hair is the other Heather, and the one with the curly red hair who isn't me is Geri.
HK was very nice, but I didn't get a chance to chat with her, she was always on the other side of the circle. I didn't take it personal. Geri on the other hand. We hit it off instantly. I'll be at the party on Saturday. Woot.

OK, I'm working. really. I swear.

Just call me "Siouxsie Shunshine".

How do you feel about giant flying roaches, Pete?
The very thought of them makes me squirm.

We, thankfully, don't get too many Palmetto bugs. The school, however, always seems to be always fighting them...rats or mice too. (Hmmm, another things to dislike about that place.) My old house in north Florida always seemed to attract 1-2 roaches a week. Hub HATES roaches. It's one of the few thinks that truly freak him out.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Happy Birthday, scrappy!!!

OK, today's XKCD is a hoot

Seriously! It made me do my loud donkey laugh.

Says the woman who once hollered for her husband to remove a (really, it was huge!) spider from the shower curtain because it was looking at her.

I ask The Boy to kill all large and/or crunchy bugs. Mostly because I can. (What? For 36 years I never had anyone to kill bugs for me before. You think I'm not going to take full advantage now?)

ION, I'm getting photographed after work for the billboard. They want me in casual clothes, preferably solid colors. I can do that, man! I'm ALL ABOUT casual clothes! Prolly a white blouse and tan pants.

They're sending along a makeup person and a hair person; the account rep who I talked with said that I can do my own hair and makeup and then if I need touch-ups the makeup and hair people can take care of it, OR they can fix me up from scratch. Since I don't know what makeup looks best in photos (on a huge billboard, no less), I'm going to let them do my makeup for me. As for my hair, well, I don't give a damn and would probably put it in pigtails if given my druthers, so I guess I'll let them deal with my hair also.

I'm very VERY tired today because I didn't get enough sleep last night (and believe me, I tried, since I knew I had to be well-rested for this), and because I'm still taking Flexiril for my cranky back muscles (yes, I appreciate the irony). And I definitely LOOK as tired as I feel.

Thank god for Photoshop.
