I think I might veto that on the storytelling concept alone. I generally don't like games where I have to be creative. See also Balderdash.
Gaming 1: You are likely to be eaten by a grue
A thread for the discussion of games: board, LARP, MMORPG, video, tabletop RPG, game theory etc. etc. and all attendant news, developments and ancillary subjects thereof, as well as coordinating/scheduling games either online or IRL. All are welcome to chime in, talk about their favorite games or learn about gaming of any sort.
PLEASE TO WHITEFONT SPOILERS for video games, RPG modules or anything for which foreknowledge of events might lessen one's enjoyment of whatever gaming experience.
It's not necessary to tell stories, but it makes it more fun, if you are into that sort of thing. I've never tried playing it as a simple card game without embellishing.
Set, and Yikerz.
Ooh, Set might be good. I've never played, but I think it's been recommended to me in every game store I've ever been in. Never heard of Yikerz.
As a bonus, Jeffrey's Toys is less than a block away. I noticed today that there is now Pirate Fluxx.
Loot is also pretty fun, if you like pirates.
There's also Zombie Dice and Cthulhu Dice.
Yikerz is a magnet game [link]
I got mine at ThinkGeek. Looks like it's available at Amazon as well.

OK I know I want to Nuke that Basestar but where to move to? Anders has Weapons Control covered. Does anyone have an extra Strategic Planning for this nuke?
I'll move to communications unless someone has a better idea (too soon to jump, right?)
BSG
Ok, so, first we need to sort out Helo's move. He's asked if anyone has a better idea than Comms; anyone want to pipe up?
Once we get that dealt with, he's ordered one nukage, extra hot, on that basestar. The roll may be modified by an SP. Everyone, please pass or play.
Finally, I've received some COs for the rest of this State of Emergency. Anyone else who wants to send some in, feel free.
BSG
You are going to get one more action at the end of this State of Emergency. If you don't take out the basestar completely and Anders misses, you could be in Weapons Control to try to finish the job. Comms would be nice in case we're attacked again; we have a lot of civvies in the sky. Research Lab would help you get another card. I don't know whether you have anything in your hand to play like a Scout or something.
Basically, think about how you want to use your action at the end of this State of Emergency, and move accordingly.
Pass on interrupts.
How about Guillotine? Not particularly long, and I think it would be okay to be interrupted...
